Strömsö-inspired Christmas ornament – A tribute to craftmanship and tradition

This design by Annika Dahlvik was created for her appearance on the popular lifestyle TV show Strömsö, that broadcasts in Finland, Sweden and Norway. A classic Christmas wreath with a bow adorns the ornament, while the pattern extending from both sides of the wreath is inspired by the railing of the Strömsö house veranda. The same railing has also inspired creations such as the Strömsö sweather. This is a timeless tribute to craftmanship and tradition.

In the episode where Annika participates, she and Elin each paint a Christmas ornament with the Strömsö motif, wich you can use as inspiration to paint your own Christmas bauble. But if you rather purchase a finished ornament, they are available for sale – made eihter from plastic, as the ones used in the Strömsö episode, or glass. Just choose the one that best suites your holiday celebrations.

The Strömsö episode will air in Finland on Yle TV1 on December 7th at 6:15 PM, on Yle TV5 on December 8th at 5.25 PM, and will be available on Arenan starting December 7th.
